ISLAMIC-BASED ENGLISH TEXTBOOK

This textbook aims to serve as a supplementary learning resource for teaching descriptive texts, tailored to meet the
academic needs of Madrasah Tsanawiyah students and enriched with Islamic values throughout. This book focuses on reading and writing skills, while also integrating listening and speaking activities in the form of presentations. Each chapter is thematically Islamic, featuring names, situations, and settings that reflect everyday life in an Islamic environment. Additionally, language features are
introduced progressively to strengthen students’ understanding of English structures. The development of this book is based on the Learning Outcomes outlined in the Kurikulum Merdeka and informed by an analysis of the characteristics students in Madrasah
settings. The topics presented are designed to match the interests and developmental needs of Muslim teenagers, using a learning approach that flows from spoken to written language. The writing activities follow a systematic progression that supports students in expressing their ideas independently.
