The economy seems to belong only to experts, bureaucrats, and market analysts.
Even though behind the number there is a real human face. There are farmers whose harvests are priced cheaply, laborers whose wages are extorted, students who struggle to pay tuition, and families who are anxious about the price of basic necessities. The economy is not something neutral, but rather an arena of power: who dominates, who is sacrificed, who benefits, and who is left behind.
